NOLS Alum Just One Race From US Olympic Team

Sarah Konrad, NOLS graduate and former instructor, awoke this morning to the biggest race of her life. She finished 1st in yesterday’s US Biathlon 10k Pursuit Format Competitions. It was her second top three finish in the three race series that will determine the US team that competes in this year’s Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. A top three finish today should put Sarah on the team.
The 38 year old Konrad, who was profiled in the 2004 Leader, has been a competitive Nordic skier for a number of years. She has been competing in biathlon for the last three years.
