Return to Space

A bit later today the space shuttle Discovery lifts off marking NASA’s return to space. Three NOLS grads are onboard- pilot Jim Kelly and mission specialists, Charles Camarda and Wendy Lawrence.
Last evening and again today The Science Channel is re-running “The Astronaut Diaries”. A documentary about the training of the Columbia astronauts. One third of the show focuses on the training they had done with NOLS.
On Sunday NOLS Professional Training director, John Kanengeiter, was featured in an article about NASA’s return to space in the Orlando Sentinel.
